Business Development – A&D Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development professional specializing in the Architecture & Design (A&D) market to join our growing team. This role focuses on building strategic relationships with architects, interior designers, and design professionals to promote our premium porcelain surface solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, and A&D professionals
• Identify new business opportunities within the design community
• Present product solutions and technical specifications to design professionals
• Collaborate with architects and designers on project specifications
• Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
• Provide technical support and product education to clients
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and project pipeline
• Work closely with the sales team to convert leads into projects
• Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in flooring industry required
• Strong understanding of architectural and design processes
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the GTA
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with porcelain, ceramic, or stone surfaces
• Existing relationships within the Toronto A&D community
• Knowledge of building codes and specifications
• Experience with Autodesk products or design software
• Bilingual (English/French) capabilities is an asset

Work Environment

This position requires a mix of office work, client visits, and attendance at industry events. You'll be working in a collaborative environment with our sales, marketing, and technical teams while maintaining independence in managing your client relationships.
